Assistant Shop Manager
Job description
Seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to help make a difference.
Our retail division is growing, and we are excited to be opening a brand-new store in Upper Street, Islington this July. We are in search of a proactive, efficient and confident Assistant Shop Manager with strong charity retail experience and excellent customer service skills to help manage the shop.
You’ll support the day-to-day running of the shop, helping to drive donations, boost sales, and create an inviting, inclusive space for customers, staff, and volunteers. You’ll play a key part in shaping the shop’s success, from merchandising and smart pricing to promoting Gift Aid and connecting with the local community.
Working closely with and sometimes deputising for the Shop Manager, your role will be essential in the smooth day-to-day running of our shop. You’ll be an excellent communicator, help drive donations and sales, train and support a dedicated volunteer team, and ensure the shop is a welcoming place for customers. You will have a passion for retail and bring creativity to everything you do.
In return you’ll be rewarded by working in a retail role with purpose as our hospice, and the care we give our patients, could not exist without the support of our shops. If you’re ready to bring your retail experience— and be part of something genuinely meaningful — we’d love to hear from you.
