We're seeking a Retail Operations Manager to ensure the effective and efficient day to day running of our social enterprise

We have a unique opportunity for you to do just that.

Emmaus Hertfordshire is a homelessness charity with a difference. We don’t just offer people a bed for the night. We provide a home for as long as it’s needed, meaningful work and a sense of belonging. We’re looking for an organised and energetic Retail Operations Manager to join our team and help build resilience and operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to be a driving force in our growth and development.

Our Social Enterprises are not only essential in providing the majority of the funding required to run our community – they also provide meaningful work and training for our Companions. You’ll need to have a positive, can-do attitude and an ability to coach others with compassion and empathy. You’ll take full ownership of Emmaus Hertfordshire’s retail operations with an opportunity to really make this role your own. You will be instrumental in driving sales growth, managing logistics and enhancing the customer experience.

At Emmaus Hertfordshire, there is no such thing as a typical day. Your role will be varied and challenge you, but it will in turn be stimulating, exciting and truly satisfying. You will lead the development and implementation of our retail operation, ensuring it aligns with our organisational values. You will also play a key role in advocating for Emmaus and educating your local community about our work.

About you:

  • You are a naturally energetic person with enthusiasm for managing and empowering people.
  • You have a true love for retail with a commercial mindset and excellent organisational skills
  • You know how to recruit and develop a team of volunteers, and have an ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team

Above all, you are keen to take on a new challenge and passionate about the work of Emmaus.
