The Police Cyber Resilience Centre are working to raise awareness of a free public service that charities and businesses can take advantage of to reduce the risk of exposure to fraud and cyber crime. According to recent media coverage, online threats are currently disrupting organisations, namely ransomware, network breaches, and account compromises. The most reported cyber crimes are currently social media and email account takeovers.

To assist in preventing these crimes, the Home Office and Police created the Police Cyber Resilience Centres, to help protect organisations and charities from fraud and online crime.  These are public services that provide access to tools and guidance to identify and fix vulnerabilities, to protect data, finances, and reputation.

Any organisation will benefit if they use email, social media, websites, computers, servers, or other internet-enabled devices.

To sign up visit www.secrc.police.uk, click the “join here” button and they will be in touch.

Alternatively go to https://nationalcrcgroup.co.uk/regional-centres/ to contact your local Cyber Resilience Centre directly.
