Running since 2003, enthusiastic customers flood in from across Edinburgh and beyond to get their hands on rare and unique treasures. This year is expected to be another big one with items including Valentino and Jimmy Choo up for grabs.
Every year, staff and volunteers at the Stockbridge shop offer up a huge range of some of the most thrilling and intriguing items donated over the course of the last 12 months.
With such dazzling items on offer, this year’s highly anticipated event is set to spark real excitement among Edinburgh’s collectors, connoisseurs, and fashionistas.
Shoppers will have a chance to get their hands on Valentino and Jimmy Choo, silk scarves by Liberty, and designer clothing from brands including Hobbs, Jigsaw, Brora, Ralph Lauren, Barbour, and All Saints.
For the vintage lovers, there’s a large selection of Victorian jewellery, a Georgian Hallmarked silver condiment set, and a mid-century collective tea set including Susie Cooper and Poole.
Shelter Scotland Director, Alison Watson, said:
“For more than two decades now the Shelter Scotland’s January Stockbridge launch event has been marked in the calendars of Edinburgh’s discerning shoppers.
“Scotland’s housing emergency now means there are more than 10,180 children in Scotland with nowhere to call home and without urgent long-term action, homelessness will rise.
“Your support keeps us in the fight against homelessness, so ahead of this exciting event I’d like to thank all our customers and donors for their generosity.”
Shelter Scotland Stockbridge Shop Manager, Peter Jew, added:
“I can’t wait to welcome all our customers to our legendary event in Edinburgh.
“For the 23rd year, we are showcasing and celebrating our donations. We’re immensely grateful to everyone who contributed, and I'm not surprised a bit that it grows every year as our donors are very generous.
“Those who queue outside are always in for a massive treat with exciting quality finds everywhere around the shop. It is a great opportunity to grab something special while supporting Shelter Scotland in the fight against the Housing Emergency.
“It’s an extravaganza!"
