The St Luke’s team offered a warm and informative glimpse into the many services and facilities the hospice provides for people living with terminal illness. With a splash of St Luke’s pink brightening the event, they made a bold and beautiful statement about inclusion, dignity, and care for everyone.
“We are delighted to be bringing a splash of St Luke’s pink to Kelham Island for Pride,” said Lucy Stanbra, St Luke’s Human Resources and Inclusion Manager, ahead of the event. “It’s very important to us that we reach out to all Sheffield’s communities, and we know that this is going to be a great day for meeting friends and sharing the St Luke’s message of inclusivity and support for all.”
Adding a little extra glitter to the day, their stall featured face decorating and a St Luke’s-themed spinning wheel game. Also proudly showcased was a beautiful collaborative artwork created by clients from the hospice’s Patient & Family Support Art Club. At the heart of the celebration was a colourful pop-up shop, offering an array of clothing and accessories from St Luke’s successful chain of charity shops, themed for Pride in bright rainbow colours.
Thanks to the generosity of visitors, the stall raised an incredible £707 in support of St Luke’s vital work.
