A new charity shop comes to Herne Bay!

The Children’s Society has opened a new charity shop in Herne Bay, aiming to support the local community through donations and purchases. The launch was endorsed by author Daisy Buchanan, who highlighted the shop’s role in promoting sustainable fashion and environmental kindness.

Benjamin Wood, the shop manager of the brand new The Children’s Society charity shop in Herne Bay said:

“We’re so excited to open our new The Children’s Society shop in Herne Bay, a town with a wonderful seaside charm and a strong sense of community. Every donation, purchase, and act of kindness from the people of Herne Bay will help change lives, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone through our doors.”

The launch was supported by award-winning journalist, broadcaster, bestselling author and mental health advocate, Daisy Buchanan, who lives in Margate. Her books include Pity Party, Careering, Insatiable, How to Be a Grownup and most recently, Read Yourself Happy.

Daisy said:

“I’m thrilled to be supporting The Children’s Society, and I love preloved fashion and the fun of discovering new-to-me pieces. I’m so excited that the new shop is coming to Herne Bay, it’s a chance for us all to celebrate sustainable style and shop in the way that’s kindest to the environment, while supporting a great charity.”
