Royal Trinity Hospice has opened a brand new shop in the heart of Tooting, bringing its unique take on stylish, sustainable charity shopping to SW17 for the first time.

The shop will be the 23rd in the charity’s award winning portfolio of shops. Just steps away from Tooting Broadway station at 17a Mitcham Road the shop showcases a range of great quality preloved and new items.

True to Royal Trinity Hospice shops’ commitment to sustainability, the new shop has been designed with minimal environmental impact in mind, using hangers made from recycled ocean plastics, tiles, mannequins and fitting room curtains made from recycled materials and eco-friendly paint.

Royal Trinity Hospice shops raise vital funds for the hospice, which is a charity and needs to raise over £13m annually to supplement the limited funds it receives from the NHS to fund its free care. Every year, the hospice provides care across central and south west London to people approaching the end of their lives, helping them to live and die well.

The fact we are finally in Tooting is really something to celebrate. We have wanted to join the thriving, vibrant neighbourhood for some time, so we jumped at the chance when we found the site for our new shop. We have created something to be proud of which we hope will become a destination for fashion fans in the area. So many Tooting locals have seen first-hand the benefit the hospice provides, so I hope that the community will come out to support the new shop, which will play a big role in helping to fund that care.
- Andy Keen, Director of Retail
I’m so excited to open our doors to welcome customers to our stunning new shop and for them to get their hands on the amazing stock we have. It’s a fantastic blend of great quality preloved and new items donated straight from brands that support our charity. Royal Trinity Hospice shops rely on the generosity of our community to sustain us with quality donations of women’s and menswear. We turn these donations into funds that support a vital local cause caring for people right here in Tooting every day. I look forward to getting to know our new customers and donors.
- Praise Jourdain, Shop Manager at the new Tooting shop

In addition to raising funds for the hospice, Royal Trinity Hospice shops are dedicated to making preloved fashion enjoyable, welcoming and accessible to everyone across the capital. Last year, the shops helped save over 300 tonnes of goods from landfill, including reselling over 350,000 preloved items. The charity has won multiple awards for its retail sustainability programme “Seven Steps to Sustainability”, most recently the Best Carbon Footprint Initiative Award at the Drapers Conscious Fashion Awards in March 2025.

The shop will be welcoming donations of quality preloved clothing and accessories in-store as well as through the charity’s free home collection service, which makes donating and supporting circular fashion even more convenient.
