Humana, operating 52 charity shops in Spain since 1987, has released a report detailing the Spanish charity retail sector and comparing it to the UK’s.

Humana, with 52 charity shops in Spain, is a social economy organisation that has been promoting environmental protection through the reuse of textiles since 1987. Humana carries out cooperation programmes in Africa, Latin America and Asia, as well as local aid, awareness-raising and urban agriculture in Spain. Read more about Humana.

Scottish proposals for kerbside textile collections

The Scottish Government is consulting on plans to make it a mandatory requirement for local councils to collect clothing and other textiles from people's doorsteps as part of existing recycling and waste collections.
