Chair of the CRA, Emma Peake said: “It is only fitting for Robin to have received this significant honour, reflecting the huge amount of work that has gone into raising the sector’s profile and effectiveness during his tenure with us. Robin Osterley said: “I am delighted and overwhelmed to have been honoured in this way. Although it is a personal award, it also reflects the importance of charity shops in UK national life, and a huge amount of credit and recognition must go to the CRA staff team for their efforts in promoting charity retail in recent years. This recognition means an enormous amount to me, not only personally but as an acknowledgement of the vital role that charity retail plays in our communities.”
