To help do this, they have started to recruit a group of new ambassadors, who will use their own networks and connections to promote Clothing Collective and draw attention to the work they do, plus to the issues of clothing poverty here in the UK.
These ambassadors all have some things in common - their love of thrifting, second hand or preloved clothes (or other items) and a keen interest in using charity shops for many of their purchases.
This perfectly aligns with them as a charity, especially as the way they support people in need is to provide them with Charity Shop Gift Cards to use in charity shops to choose clothing.
David Somerville, Head of Marketing & Communications for Clothing Collective said:
"A large number of our supporters, including social media followers are 'thrifters', so it made perfect sense to partner with people with shared values to us. This is especially the case as our charity mission is based on providing access for people in need to clothing from charity shops."
Introducing their new ambassadors
Clothing Collective is pleased to announce that their first wave of thrifter ambassadors are:
Emma Wesley - @thecharityshopchick

You can read the bios of their new thrifter ambassadors here, alongside Clothing Collective's celebrity ambassadors of Peter Duncan, Nigel Lindsay and Dame Prue Leith.
Their ambassadors will be helping to spread the word for them over the next few months (and beyond), so keep an eye on Clothing Collective's website and socials for more information.
