All profits from the new charity Boutique will help fuel the fight against housing injustice and homelessness.

Based in the heart of one of London’s most desirable retail districts, the newly refurbished store promises to redefine and elevate the charity shopping experience, offering amazing high-end fashion finds, delivered in stunning surroundings and with social purpose.

The elegant, modern Boutique will showcase a carefully curated range of designer and premium clothing and accessories donated by supporters and brands, as well as a hand-chosen selection of pre-loved and vintage pieces.

Doors open to the public on 4 December at 11am - in plenty of time for Christmas shopping - with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Sarah Elliot, Chief Executive Officer of Shelter and pre-loved influencer, Jen Graham (@Charityshopgirlcsg).  Special events will be happening throughout the opening weekend starting with style presentations and personal shopping advice from Lisa Wisdom (@stylewithwisdom) on Saturday 6th December and Christmas wreath-making using recycled fabrics for a sustainable and stylish statement for your home on Sunday 7th December between 1pm-3pm.

The 820 sq. ft space is Shelter’s 18th Boutique store and the charity’s 24th London retail outlet. Launched in 2013, the popular Boutique by Shelter initiative aims to add something different to the charity retail mix, establishing premium stores in well-known London locations, taking advantage of increased footfall and providing a space for stand-out donations and designer goods.

Speaking about the opening, Ian Trotter, Assistant Director (Retail) at Shelter said:

"This isn’t just a boutique — it’s a statement. We’re creating a space where fashion meets conscience, where every purchase supports Shelter’s vital work providing free, expert advice and support to people facing homelessness and poor housing.

“Kensington High Street is the perfect location to showcase how charity retail can be both aspirational and impactful.

“The Boutique’s design reflects its premium positioning, with elegant interiors and a focus on natural materials.

“As ever, all proceeds will go directly towards our fight to end the housing emergency.”

Fashion influencer, Jen Graham, known on Instagram as @charityshopgirlcsg explained why she was excited to be involved.

She said:

“So many of us are looking for ways to spend our money for good to re-use, recycle, and give pre-loved pieces a second life.

“Shopping this way isn’t just affordable and sustainable, it’s also full of charm and possibility.

“This new Boutique really stands out for all the right reasons it’s a place where you can rummage for beautiful designer and high end gems while helping Shelter continue the incredible work they do fighting the housing emergency.

“The best charity shops always have their own unique ambiance that real excitement and buzz you just don’t get from regular retail. It’s not just about what you buy, it’s about the joy of the rummage, the stories behind each piece, and how it all comes together as you create your own style.

“There’s nothing quite like discovering a preloved treasure, that one of a kind find no one else will have and knowing your purchase truly makes a difference.

“High Street Kensington has always had that cool, unique energy, so being able to explore all things vintage there feels like a dream. I can’t wait to rummage through the rails and share my finds!”
