As proud Affiliates of Sustainable Fashion Week, we at the CRA are thrilled to see how this year’s event is shaping up and the incredible community energy behind it.
This year there are more SFW hubs than ever before, with 32 all over the UK, with one in Canada and one in the US! Each will bring workshops, talks and activities to inspire sustainable fashion choices.
Running alongside the Hubs is the Community Fringe programme (20 September – early October) - in which Charity Shop Fashion Week 2025 is featured! The Community Fringe celebrates creativity, repair, second-hand style and community action.
This year’s theme, “Fashion, Reclaimed”, invites us all to take the power back. It’s about reconnecting with our clothes, embracing repair and second-hand, and resisting the fashion industry’s throwaway culture.
We’re also pleased to see CRA members taking part in the programme, including St Oswald’s Hospice and Salvation Army Trading Company. And of course, CRA will once again be championing preloved fashion through Charity Shop Fashion Week, which sits within the wider SFW25 celebrations.
The programme also spotlights how everything for the 2025 year has come together. It takes a lot to pull off, from event hosts, affiliates, sponsors and partners, student photographers… SFW25 is an annual powerhouse that brings all these contributions together in one place, showing what true community action can look like.
