
Doors opened early on 21 May to give guests the chance to explore a curated sustainable shopping experience in the on-site Sue Ryder pop-up shop. There was a gorgeous range of choice items and I can report … yes we did do shopping 😁.
Guests were encouraged to embrace sustainability by re-wearing a favourite outfit or choosing something pre-loved.
The highlight of the evening for us was seeing the amazing creations the UAL students had worked on for the two fashion shows of the evening; Sleep in Beauty and Absence of Colour - all using items from Sue Ryder charity shops. The outfits were outstanding and showcased so much talent and the possibilities of working with secondhand materials.
A huge amount of money was raised and it was a fantastic platform for sustainable fashion, charity retail and partnerships between industry sectors to further the cause.
