TRUST Scottish Initiative

TRUST is launching a new initiative in Scotland.

TRUST logo.

TRUST is launching a new initiative in Scotland whereby we are putting Scottish based TRUST certified textile traders in touch with TRUST charity signatories who have shops in Scotland. We have obtained a commitment from three traders (two of them also grade textiles) to provide quotations for collections in most areas of Scotland and are looking for charities to sign up to be part of this project.

It is free to become a TRUST charity signatory; all we need from you is your logo for our website and an unwritten agreement that “We fully support the ongoing work of TRUST to raise standards among merchants trading in used goods and commit to only trading with TRUST-certified merchants wherever possible.” You can be assured that all TRUST certified traders have gone through an audit process carried out by an independent auditor, covering: Sound Business, Health and Safety, Working Conditions, Transport and Environment. TRUST has the full support of the Charity Retail Association (CRA) and Circular Communities Scotland.

If you are interested in signing up, please get in touch and we will provide you with details of the traders you can contact so you can speak to them independently to discuss your business needs. If you wish to contact the CRA or Circular Communities Scotland they too will be happy to speak to you.

Please refer to the TRUST website for more information or contact the TRUST Administrator by email on info@trustmerchants.org.uk.
